Hello all, well I can feel it in the air and the old farmers almanac predicts a LONG COLD WINTER!! That means GREAT ICE!! I look forward to chatting again this year and catching FISH under the frozen flats!! Talk to you all soon! Good hunting this year and fishing this fall.! Mo.

About six inches of snow at my place outside of Butte........

And just talked to Bass Pro and my tip ups and line should be on the way and the new inline reel will be here first of December. Now all I gotta do is get through hunting season.

Ordered parts for the old Mag 2000 auger (handle screw - amazingly hard to find), more ice lures (from IS sponsors = thumbs up), and changed the oil in the ATV. Bring it!

O/W, pretty much geared up. Been doing this for a while now, no need for an xtravaganza.

sorted lures, resorted lures, new line, sharpened the auger, even set up the shack and drank a beer in it, lets go ice!!!

I can't wait either... It has been 2 years since I was able to ice fish. Had some serious back issues and 3 back surgeries in 8 weeks has got me back on the move and I am ready to put some holes in the ice.

26 here when I woke up this morning. I hope it stays this cold all month and doesn't snow. I'd love to be ice fishing the minute I finish deer hunting this year.

You guys are lucky to have such a long season, here in Pennsylvania have to wait until mid December or early January to get out on the ice. Our hunting season is starting up so I'll have something to keep me busy along with getting my gear ready. Good luck with your hunting seasons.

Hunting closes the 1st, inlaws here the 5th so I'm hoping G Town or Delmoe is safe by the 13th. Last year had been on five different lakes by the first of the year so hopefully I can get six this year.

Sometime between the 15th & 25th of November is probably the norm. The past few years that seems to be about when I start seeing people on it. Hopefully sooner..........becaus e I'm itching to get started!!

Last weekend we hiked up to a small lake near Bozeman, 9000' elevation. Brought our fly rods hoping for some trout action, but the lake was covered in about 1.5" of good ice! Pretty crazy, starting to get excited now.
