Tip Ups

So maybe a stupid question but....are tip ups counted as set lines?  Your allowed to rods in the water in most places, so do tip ups count as one of those two?

thats a great question, i have been checked by FWP on Harrison lake and we had tip ups, he didnt say a thing about it, just counts towards your hook in the water limit as far as i know. It would be worth a call to the local FWP office. better safe than sorry unless you are drinkin

Yes it does count. It says in the regs you are allowed 2 lines in the water with 2 hooks per line. I talked to my buddy (works for Dep. of Wildlife) & he said a tip-up undoubtably counts.
