Sure they do... I do not know how consistent the night bite is but I have caught a few here and there... especially in the twilight hours.

Do perch bite at night???

Perch have poor night vision and do not bite as they do during the early morning and at dusk. Walleye have excellent night vision and bite well at night...

No, perch typically will hold the bottom....I've seen a couple rare instances where the fish were 4-5 feet off the bottom, but typically I have to drop my jig down and actually raise them from the bottom foot of the water column.

Use a Coleman lantern and you'll attract them to your spot at night. Also you'll catch calicos and other fish. You can actually see them in clear water at night. If you don't have a lantern, you can use a deep cycle battery with a DC/AC voltage converter and a flourescent light. We used to catch smelt through the ice at night because you can see them take your minnows. When the blue pike were around on Lake Erie, you would see cities of lights out on the water at night.
You can not take too many perch, unless you can not clean them, give them to your friends and neighbors to clean and cook. The more perch you take, the faster and bigger the rest  will grow. The walleyes and bass will survive from fry to fingerlings.

yes they bite at night, and yes they suspend...all depends on the bodies of water that you fish.....
