Made this up a few years ago and finally decided to share it with ya'all. It's my shanty PULL ROPE., can be utilized as a secondary throw/rescue rope attached to my shanty eye bolt that is easily & quickly removable with a carabiner.

Nice. I keep telling myself that I am going to do the same but I haven't.
-
How long did you make it? Good idea!
-
Great idea, it will be on my next build.

Great idea using the cariabiner. Easy to remove with cold hands. Thanks for sharing

Great idea, I pulled a dog sled with my snowmobile and kept a throwing ring and rope near the back of the sled where someone could stand, never had to use it but it was there. I pull a 2 man clam now, sold the boat and the life ring went with it, I'll have to get something else. Those throwing bags look interesting, but using the tow rope from a smitty or a flipover would work also, alot easier to get to. thanks

try this for a rope

How long and how thick did you make the rope? Have to be careful on the carabiners also as some of them don't have a high poundage rating.
-
I got the same setup but I just tied the rope to the carabiners I was just showing my buddy yesterday on the ice and how well it would double as rescue rope.20ft pull that's 40ft of rope

Minimum 18ft of 1/2" , 9/16" or 5/8" Nylon Rope... the longer, the better

This is a good idea. I have it on my Smitty, but really need to do this for my portables.
