I have started using a five gallon bucket and plastic bags, one use tie it off and put in garbage bag to haul away. Better than leaveing a suprize on the ice.

hahahahaha i have wondered that too.. i have never had to go so bad that i couldn't hold it.. but i also was wondering if there is some un writtin rule about kicking the guys out of the shack so i can poo in the bucket. but then again, after smelling how bad i can blow up a bathroom i dont know if anyone would come back in to that chemical warfare to fish lol.but after a thermos of coffee and half a pack of ciggs i know i have came close to "marking my hole" with something no one would want to drill back thru lol

This just gave me a flashback from the past. My buddy had his shack about 100 yards from mine and he had someone fishing with him. All of a sudden i get a knock at my door asking if he can fish with me for the rest of the day. Then he proceeded to tell me my buddy had to go really bad so he stepped out of the shack so he could take care of business. He said he heard an explosion and a sneeze at the same time followed by some swearing. There was crap in the pail, on the pail, on the ice, and one the sealing.

5 gallon bucket for #2. They make a toilet seat that fits to the bucket, makes it a little more comfortable. Go with strong black plastic bag, they have more visual appeal in that situation...
I also use a urinal for #1

Because I've worked as a carpenter for so many years in a lot of remote areas,I've learned to adjust my diet so I wouldn't need to during the day for twenty plus years. I don't eat much on the ice so it isn't an issue, but the 5 gallon bucket and garbage bag sounds like a good way to
take care of business.

I remember one year fishing New Years Day. Well after all of that sauerkraut...A hollowed out tree stump and a handful of wet oak leaves did the trick....don't ever want to go through that again....I think the plastic bag in the 5 gal bucket sounds a lot better now that I have a flip over.

This is just what I got an earful of from my room-mate. As a wee tyke back in the early fifties, always hit the ice with her dad. At 5 yrs she had ice-skates for the quick dash to the far woods or parking lot.
She squawks about how easy us guys have it anytime it slips out that I have to go so, some sort of facility is always along. The porcelain device stays at home.

Hope your in a portable and drop em down the hole and move on. Then pray that your not surrounded by fellow anglers. Because there maybe a floater.
The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.
