Anyone have any 'Frontier' wooden tip-ups? Not sure if 'Frontier' is the name of the model of the tip-up or if it is the manufacturers name. Came across them last year and they looked decent. Trying to locate some. They are a wooden cross style tip-up with a large adjustable plastic spool that has an adjustable drag. VEry similar looking to a Heritage tip-up. Was wondering if the are any good. Anybody have experience with them?

Thanks PKing.
Anyone own or use these models?

I like the thought of adjustable drag

I have half a dozen or so of the Frontiers. They're a decent heavy duty tip-up. We use them mainly for pike. They're great in deep snow and if you're on a tight budget cheaper then the Heritage Lakers.

Hunter,
How are the reels on them? Smooth?

I lubed mine up with blue lube and haven't had any problems. Turn nice and free.

Do you guys have pics of this tip up?
Thanks
