wolf lake chicago,is it ready?

Does anyone have any ice info. on wolf? I am heading there this weekend. Ice and fishing report's will be greatly appreciated.

I can not access anything on that site.I registered but haven't had a reply yet,guess i'll just have to wait and see.

 I checked on there and didnt see any current ice reports. I live out in Ft.Wayne now but I used to live out that way. I miss that ol Wolf Lake but If I hear anything else about it I will let ya know. Maybe call Mik-lurch Tackle or whoever they are.....Good to see someone interested on that lake....you just never know what you going to catch out there....Take Care   Jim

Saturday the Indiana side still had open water out from the boat launch, the channel was froze over with about 2" except for the north end which hardly ever ice over completely, not sure about the Illinois side, and it seems like for the last year or so nobody wants to post any reports on the wolf lake web site?

I have noticed that myself,I finally got registered last night and they did'nt have squat for info.Thank's for the info littled62 much much appreciated.

I've pretty much quit going to the wolf lake web site, you can usually call mik-lurch (219-989-0575) they are always willing to help

stopped by wolf lake at the mazo channel after work tonight, about 1am, drilled 3 holes to see, about 5 to 6' of ice...but man was it colddd!!

Awsome thank's littled for stoppin by to check thing's out.I am heading there tommarrow,did you happen to see if it was locked up by the flag pole's?We were catching nice size pike there last ice.Thank's again for the investigation i owe you a cup of coffee or a beer your choice.......lol

The Illinois side is only open til dusk

I'm not sure how thick it is there, the Indiana side is open all night, just know that Hammond passes a city ordnance last year that closes all parks at dust, however the lake is DNR controlled, not city, so as long as you are on the lake and not in the park you are OK, when you park you have to park on the lake side of the road, if you park in one of the park parking lots they will ticket you
