Ground is still soft, but there was ice on the garbage cans last night.  The lakes are ready, all we need is a pair of nights in the low teens to single digits and the race will be on!

By the way, isn't Monmouth Southern IL? ;D

Yeah whats that all about? Nobody saying much. We all have access to the same lakes mostly and should communicate better with one another. Some people seem active though. The Wisconsin boys are making us look bad.lol

Maybe Christmas guys. They pushed the forecast up a few degrees the wrong way. Either way if you southern/ central guys come up this way just send a post will get pointed to a good lake and out their a few weeks earlier than your norm.

I think all of us in Illinois are gonna have to go north quite a ways if we want to ice fish anytime soon !!!!  :( :( Sounds like you have to go at least as far north as the Stevens Point area to get anything close to fishing on. Not that I don't like going up there to fish but you can't do it every weekend !!!  :'( :'(   Glenn

I just got my WI non resident license , so i could go and fish up there earlier then down here and later then up here too lol.  the only problem with it is that you have to pay $50 for a non resident ,  what a bunch of BS .  oh well, we need it to get way colder like a week in the teens and lows over night negative temps.
