Vented or Non Vented heaters in your home built shack?

Just curious what everyone's DIY shacks are heated by. Most commercial shacks use vented camper style furnaces. But the DIY ones I see are mainly Blueflame or buddy heater styles. I know what I prefer but I want to hear from everyone else, like an interactive poll. I also find it interesting that geographical area also tends to change preferences, my current location is dominated by propane heat, Near my in-laws, its dominated by wood stoves.

What do you have an why?

I went with vented propane because it doesn't raise the humidity level inside my shack like unvented propane would. I also didn't want to deal with fire wood and ashes. My last permie had a fuel oil furnace and always smelled like fuel oil.

If I had a shack it would have an rv style lp forced air furnace with external combustion. I've heated a garage with one in the past and it worked very, very well.

Whatever you use it should be vented.  Unless you want a sauna.  I prefer wood heat.

Its a pretty easy choice for me vented RV furnace, My life is worth more than the $300 I would save using something else. And yes i know someone who has passed away from non vented heaters...
