for real, doe.     wyoming and CO is the same way right now... ice would form quick if the wind would just die down for a few days.

5* this morning and no wind will cap some smaller lakes but looking at the forecast it won't last long. Average on ice date is Dec 5 for this area.  We might be a month late this round.

Drove along Merritt this afternoon on my way to Valentine from Mullen. No ice on Beeds or the main lake, all open water and the 40 to 50 MPH gusts were making numerous whitecaps. Didn't check out the Boardman area.

With temps forecast to be in the 40's and 50's this week, very slim change of good ice by this weekend.

Dang I was hoping to possibly try going out to one of the lakes in a week but clearly that’s not an option forecast is hardly going to freeze!
