Had -15 at the house when I left at 5:45 this AM.  I saw a low of -21.8 on the way to work. -18.5 being reported at Black Lake.
Finally - some ice-making weather  ;D  Forecasting a high of 34 tomorrow! :-\

-10 in the Utica area this morning, depending on location.  The short warm up won't last long, below zero again expected towards the latter half of the week.

Its so cold here in brewerton that I have a drain line for my minnow tanks punched thru the wall oy my building and it is wrapped in insulation, well its frozen solid and has created an ice ring around the top of the drain in the minnow tank.... ??? at least we are making ice somewhere down here.

hey deebsey I have a question for you. when I was a kid my gramp used to hunt in Canisteo and we stayed in our pop up in a little pull off off of rt 17 just outside of town. right up the hill from the pull off was a big chunk of state land where he hunted. Do you happen to know the spot im talking about and if so is it still there???

If you consider it a sport to gather your food by drilling through 36 inches of ice and sitting there all day hoping that the food will swim by, you might live in northern New York
