The puck transducer is still available but it does not have the same plug as the one that you have for your unit.  The part number is PD-W.  It is a 192 KHz, 20 degree cone angle puck transducer.  To solve the plug problem, you can make an adaptor using the plug from your current transducer.  If you cut the transducer cable 1 foot below the plug that goes into the flasher, you can put a 1/4 inch phone plug on the short end (the center wire goes to the plug tip and the braid (shield) goes to the outer ring.  Then put a female 1/4 inch phone jack on the ends for each of your transducers (center wire to the tip, shield to the outer ring) and that will allow you to leave the adaptor plugged in to the unit and just move it between set-ups.  I would cut the plug off the new transducer about 1 foot down from the plug also to keep the lengths uniform. The plugs and jacks are readily available at Radio Shack.  If you aren't comfortable with wiring, find somebody who is into Electronics to help out.
I have made various mounts for this transducer depending on your set-up, using either styrofoam (floating) or
thin metal strips that I drilled to mount it right to the case of the unit using the mounting wing screws
and hold the ducer down in the hole.
I googled the transducer and it showed up at Cabela's website as being in stock.  There may be other sources as well.
The new Lowrance and Eagle transducers are not the same frequency as your unit so you should try to find the PD-W to insure the best performance.
Good luck.
Norm

THANKS NORMAN, UNFORTUNATLY THATS THE SAME PUCK I HAVE SO I NOW KNOW WHAT I AM GOIN TO HAVE TO MAKE UP NO BIGGIE. I WAS LOOKING FOR ONE LIKE THE NEW STYLE UNITS HAVE WHERE THE CABLE DOESN'T COME OUT OF THE SIDE BUT OUT OF THE TOP. I HAVE A QUESTION BOUT THE BATTERIES. CAN I RIG UP A PRONG TYPE BATTERY RATHER THAN 2 LANTERN BATTERIES? AND IS IT A 6V OR 12V SYSTEM. ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR REPLYING TO MY POST.  ~EVIN~

The unit is a 12 volt system.  The red is +. (You may already know that, but when I had my business I had many come in that were wired up by house electricians where black is hot.  The unit is protected from reverse polarity, but it will not run).  Lowrance used this transdcucer for ice fishing back then with a mount that attached to the unit.  The new models with the top cable didn't come out until later.
Good luck.

I tried using my old Silent Sixty One last winter with an attempt at a home-made ice-ducer, the problem I found was the unit didn't work well in the cold ( below -15c). It would work intermittently, turning on and off when it wanted, most likely due to cold batteries from sitting on the ice. My advice would be to mount it in some form of box with the puck transducer mounted an extendable arm to keep it steady. Also, possibly putting some disposable foot-warmers under the batteries to keep them warm might help. If you look back through some of the posts, i believe other have come up with some pretty ingenious arms that are easy to make, but trying to turn the puck into an iceducer ended up being an exercise in futility for me, as it never pointed straight enough to give me any kind of bottom reading.

I never checked your unit specifically but these guys have ends for almost everything.

I was lucky and found one.  It came with the flasher.  I bought the entire thing for 30.00.  I was stoked now I have two.

Yes you were lucky. Every time I have looked at one I could not get the connectors to match. Oh well I just keep looking.
