Hey guys, I really need some help with this one. I have bought a kit ice shack that came with the canvas and rails but no flooring. A friend of mine used 5/8ths plywood with 2x2s for stability and strength between the holes. The shack is 8x8 and folds to 4x8. It has 1x4s around the outside to attach the 2x2 & plywood to keep it above and off the ice while fishing. Needless to say this shack is a total TANK. It takes two men and a strong boy to get it in and out of the truck.
I am looking for any ideas you guys might have for flooring to make this thing lighter but not lose any strengh. I will be putting in those round hole covers by ice fishing wharehouse to whatever I use for flooring and also covering it with marine carpet.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!
