Happy New Year everyone!  We got the shanty "finished" (list of off season mods currently ongoing!) and have been fortunate to not only use it a few days, catch some burbot/walleye, watch a pile of World Junior Hockey BUT also been lucky enough to already have an overnight trip with my wife and kids!!  It has turned out fantastic!!!  It weighs just under 3000lbs loaded; a little heavier then I wanted but no problem to pull with a  quad. If I put a tri-ski system I will have no concerns getting it around with a snowmobile.

Here were the final pictures of construction

Taking my son and his buddy out all day Saturday; I look forward to sharing some shots of nice walleye being pulled out of the water!!

Hope everyone else is enjoying the season

Great job on the transformation.  Lots of thought went in there. Just seems to be missing the "Gozunder"

This is a fantastic build, I really like how it has turned out. Do your solar panels do a good job for you? Are they able to provide all the power you need to fish for a weekend???

Sorry for the late replies! Been a busy summer.

Yes the solar panels charged perfectly; I was able to run the tv/satellite etc as much as we wanted on weekend campouts. The batteries never went dead once and were fully charged ready to go the following weekend.

I haven't made any changes, yet, but am planning to start working on it Next week.  Definitely have a few small changes/tweaks to make for this season.

Not on the ice yet.  Just doing some changes on it; mostly for convienience and comfort

Added some "hook holders" on the ceiling. Modifying the solar panel mount to make it adjustable from the ground.  Hope to modify the storage below the bench; want to make pull out tackle under the one. Doing a little touch up painting and working on the storage to help it stay a little more organized.

With our current weather forecast I should be pulling it out around the end of the month.

Lol. Will do!

Any suggestions on any additions?  I am planning to add a couple auto jiggers on the front holes.  Also need to buy a LX9 for the flasher shelf I built.

I thought I would have a list of mods to do after the first winter but pretty happy with the set up even when 4 of us spent weekends in it
