I live near Annapolis, Md so my ice fishing is limited. I've tried both mono and braid. Memory being the biggest of my line issues when going down to really small baits. Just wondering if there's a magical line I haven't found yet  :)

I like the stren ice line in high vis gold in 2-4# test. Its mono with high stretch and works well for panfish. For jigging Lake Trout in deep water I like the blue Suffix ice braid in 20# with a fluoro leader.

PS, I think you may get better responses if you put this post in the "jigging" thread, not the one designated to ice fishing clothing.  ;D

Been using Berkley micro-ice in 2lb. ultra clear for many years because it never fails me. Very good knot strength and real good flexibility for great action at the business end for the fish to see.
