Bought a new pair of Men's Guide GearŪ 2400 gram Thinsulate & Ultra Insulation Monolithic Waterproof Boots Mossy Oak a couple weeks ago.
Spent hours out on the ice las weekend fishing and watching the kids ice skate on the St. Lawrence River in NY.  Feet never even got chilled, in fact my legs were warmer because of it. They do increase your height an inch or two and grip well on snow, still need cleats on glazed ice.  If its any good indication, I recommended these to my Dad.

By the way, I ordered them from Amazon, they were 89.00 and free 2 day shipping.
Just stick it in the hole, wiggle it around a little bit and pull it back out.  It's as easy as....sex.
