Around here it looks as though all the snow turned to slush, I'm thinking that with no snow on top of it, it should freeze down pretty well by the end of the week considering the night time temps that are forecast. We may have some very fishable ice this weekend!

If someone is heading up to cornell this weekend and doesn't mind showing me where this bay is I would appreciate it.  Im dying to get out and could drive up friday or Saturday.

I walked across the creek in my backyard a half hour ago. Punching the spud every step, a pretty uniform 2" out there. It's nice clear ice though I didn't feel safe hanging around. A little sketchy for me yet. One of the river channels here (Neenah) has maybe an inch. Won't be long

Went and drilled a hole on Enterprise lake in north central Wisconsin after school today. We've got a good solid 3 inches of ice with lows in the single digits the rest of the week I think I've got fishing ice folks!!!

Stopped by the boat landing just South of Webers Point on Shawano Lake.  About 2 inches there.  Someone walked out and chipped some holes.  Still to thin for me.  Should be making some ice tonight with a low of 7. :)

Around the rhinelander area theres good ice but carry a spud. It goes from 5 inces to 1 ish in 5 ft. 3 diffent lake ive fished have been like this. Seems if theres snow over it its still thin. Chose your walking paths and holes carfully. Good luck  !!
