Farm Pond Perch

I have fished This Farm Pond for 2 years now and i have caught perch in the summer but never in the winter, we seem to catch the crappies n gills fine with an occasion bass...is there a reason for the perch not biting or is there somethin i should know about perch in the winter on ponds?
