lethbridge area I chose not to try on several lakes with the kids. If I was without the kids and had a ladder to get out past open water around the edge a long rope tied to the jeep and ice picks........    Naa     I'm getting too old for that.  Anyone want to trade a jeep for a hovercraft? If you see a guy on the ice in a canoe it might be me.  ::)

I have not been able to get out but sure appreciate everyone that keeps updating.

I know some people on here and AO whine and complain because people share this info and it's so annoying to them.....all the constant updates. (I don't get that).

I personally like to know my plane has only enough fuel to get in the air, and that's it.....if someone could tell me that before take off I probably wouldn't go. Lol.

Thanks for the updates all. I know they are appreciated.

Good fishin'!

Was at Gull yesterday (Sunday) beautiful weather almost all the snow are solidly packed even a two wheel drive can travel all around however the shoreline looks pretty bad fishing was pretty slow landed two whites and released a dozen small perch.

Wab yesterday had 4 inches of slush on top and about 20 inches of solid ice. Enjoy the warm days peeps! It's coming to an end...

Gull at Wilsons was solid, very.  When the snow melts, maybe not so much.   The huge heave at shore could become tough over the next week.

At Pigeon tonight at Grandview...love that hour change...
All the snow has melted and it looks like it normally does at the beginning of April.  The holes fill in with water after drilling.  I won't be too long with this weather that I would not recommend vehicle travel in that area.  Still lots of ice but this week will take its toll on strength.

Maybe i was pushing my luck a bit the last two days, but I drove on at Wab on two different areas.  Ice is starting to really deteriorate and I wont be driving on again.  I would not recommend driving on anymore, but to each their own! Ice was about 18" of still solid but slightly granular ice, and then the top 6" was frozen slush and slush.  Be safe if you venture out.

A couple very small and shallow "puddles" froze over in my drive a couple of the past few days.

Almost flipped the one man over to practice staring down at the ice again this year.

Be safe on the early ice, when it comes....and in your driveway all! (yes I almost fell, lol).

Walked out on the lake today... 2" across the whole thing.  Beautiful clear solid ice, but I highly suggest waiting to get out fishing!
