Very cool! Making the wheels turn in my head about what is possible with my sled
The ice is always safe. The question is, are you?

Weird question I know, but you were the kid who did all his friends car stereo installs in high school weren't you?  It looks like you've got some experience in mdf and 12v setups lol.
I'm a man, but I can change, If I have to, I guess.

Not me... just a pipe fitter that’s been in the industry for a while. This was a learning experience and I created some wiring diagrams from my lessons learned if your interested. I also tracked the cost on the build. I know a lot people come with “how much” “what’s the weight dry and full”
So... I just had fun and stood on the work from past build on here, read a lot, got great feedback from here, and that was the result

Great job Drew!  Any plans to paint/ stain the exposed wood to keep the moisture out?

I do, I’m able to take the whole mod out on 10 but bolt combos. I’ll throw something ins in there to cover the wood up from moisture. Thanks for the compliment! I’ve gotten a lot help from here. And kinda added / little things here and there. It’s was fun but I am glad it’s over and now I can enjoy it

That's the way to do it.  Do your research and customize it for your needs.  Hope you get many years of enjoyment from it.

Impressive!  I worked on mine Friday, and have some more work to do.  Came out nothing like yours.  You did give me some ideals to incorporate into mine.  The one thing I can not find though is ICE!

Here is the list of materials that I used and the cost associated with each item. I have also attached the wiring diagram I made to help future builders understand a bit more about what I learned through this process.

 great work drew....nice diagrams,  spread sheet etc.
what sled did you use to build that on??  I have a Clam Yukon and have been toying with the idea of doing the same thing you’ve done
I just want to go ice fishing and ignore my adult problems

The sled I used for this build was a Jet Sled XL (66 in. L x 31 in. W x 12 in. H). My hut is 8x8 and I choose this sled to maximize my bench space with the rod holds on the side along one wall of my hut. I also took seating height into consideration and it worked out well. People build these many different ways and I just asked, read and got great feedback from some of the guys here and that helped. When it did come time for the electrical, I had an idea of what I was doing but had to really learn the way it all worked to get everything working properly. here is the layout of the top

Incredible job!!

Thanks hardwater. I’m loaded up and ready to go. I’m gonna go mess around tomorrow and get some depths at a local pond near by, build a little smitty to help me get this beast through the deep snow... if my pond looks good for ice... I’m gonna start my season!!!
