Lake Independence 3/29/08
« on: Mar 30, 2008, 09:55 AM »
We fished both Friday and Saturday and caught lots of dinks but couldn't find the jumbos. Drilled holes all the way from perkins to alder and everyhwere in between with the same result. Anybody have an suggestions on where to find the jumbos? The ice was great yesterday and we had no problem taking both our trucks on the ice. Everywhere we drilled had 20+", one spot had as much as 28".

We did for a little while on Friday. Fished in 8-10fow but didn't mark much. Is that usually a good spot to find last ice perch?

Well maybe soon then! check around this area. Longer days may be triggering the staging,
