PERCH LAKE-REPUBLIC

Has anyone fished Perch Lake the one just east of Republic(almost in town)?  What do they catch there?

I have fished perch lake for years. Caught some nice fish there. Has the usual, bluegill, crappie population and some very nice splake in it. If you go in on public access you will usually see holes just to the left no far out. There is a nice hole there for splake. Straight accross about 70 yards out from shore is a great place for panfish Go on by the power place and just look around for holes to the left and ou will catch splake. About all I know about it.  Good Luck

 I was out there last sunday. fishing was slow  :(only got 2 keepers. ice is about 5 to 6"

na icedflies haven't been there in  weeks but the ice should be in great shape  I was at tip-up town at sawyer lake sat and sun. 8)  I do have a taste for splake now thanks I may go there one day this week end

First trip out with my oldest son today (will be 2 in April).  Was a blast, sun kept us hot in the shack..... he got cleaned out & "jigged" the bait off countless times.... when I wasn't entertaining him with food or whatever I was able to pull out a couple of perch & splake; nothing to bring home but great memories.  Great day for fishing!!

Ang was pretty good the other day too! more fishing less kids

awsome thats the best part of fishing . my kids are older girl teenagers being too busy to ice fish with dad.  but man they where fishing fools when they were young.  one good thing is they will never forget how to fish. 8)

In just under a hour this past Sat. 20 plus panfish (small) gills, perch and rock bass. Jig never got to bottom without a hit, 16 fow.  Hope to bring my
8 yr old granddaughter out there later this week. She loves to fish but hates to wait.

I was there sun  as well had a good day sun was shinning 8) barley pop flowing and took some home to eat . even helped pull someone out who got stuck in the melting snow. makes me feel good when i can help a fellow fisherman
