Got a question to ask. I only been ice fishing for three yrs . What's easier to get your limit on perch or walleye ? During Early to mid ice. I never got my limit of either but i seem to be getting better at perch fishing. I did end up getting 4 eyes this year and I'm OK with that ,only got one last year. I learned alot from all of the post from this site so thanks everyone . Good luck with the remainder of the season and be safe.

Nice pics chief; great job on the sunnies guys. After getting smoked behind Apps on Monday afternoon, we decided to give up on the perch and target something else. Fished the far west end Tues and did very well on those big sunnies. A lot of 81/2", 9" and some a little better. These things are absolute tanks. It is just amazing how Oneida produces so much quality fish of different species.

Fished a different area today and could not get away from the countless numbers of dink perch. Highlight of the day was running into Filet and meeting King Perch . Good talking to you guys; looking forward to participating in the "diehards" version of March Madness in the next week or two.

Thanks guys
Beautiful pile of fish dgriff !

I went out on a bucket and jet sled. Wind was brutal, kept knocking over my tip downs.  put those away and jigged. Heavy snow squalls, and only 7 bites for 5 perch...no crappies. Plan B on Oneida tomorrow.
My boots on some ice... A line down a hole...Some fish on the screen... And a flag in the air !......Winter is Good !!

jeesh...spring by calender only and my Wood piles getting low.
Keep up the good work on the fish HT...in your bucket and freezer, not your backboard  :roflmao:

Had a friend text me a pic of a pile of jumbos busting on me for working.  Till I realized it was an old pic!
He also did very little.  At one point had a new hole screen loaded& popped 7 good ones back to back.  Then screen went blank in an instant.  No noise just gone????????

I'm headed to some new unpressured water this weekend.

Fished the same hole as yesterday this morning. Was home by 11:30 with another limit of giant sunfish. They were hitting as high as 4 feet off the bottom.

Good to see you had fun on your trip to Pittsburgh, Andrew...nice Whites ;)

That's unlike you Freddy...late ice is your Zen Master time of year. Keep at it, you are probably close to solving the mystery ;)

I would say the beach or taft they both looked fine today , there were small ponds of water that were almost 5-6" deep could be some on the east end that could be deeper ,due to the west wind

AW maybe my lucky streak played out
