Your right Reeleyez. The heaviest snows are barely north of the lake! Looks like they have lifted a little bit northward at the moment. I drove a couple miles north of 49 and it was zero visability

Cool! Any size to those Crops?  or the perch? Man, I wish the perch fishery would bounce back to where it was during the Trap attack days. It was pretty impressive for the size of that lake.

My friend went there yesterday and fished off Traber rd. , then to the south east end north of Macs a ways and literally did not catch one single fish!  Said he marked fish everywhere he went but could not get anything to hit.

I live 2 miles north of 49 and at 8:00 am it was snowing like crazy and 15 min. later the sun was out. We got about 8 - 10 in. over night. Good thing it is light and fluffy lake effect snow.

web cam is and has been in the clear all morning...every little bit helps.....Especially when 8-10 inches fell just 2 miles north of 49 like perchhead said.  looks like maybe an inch or two total have hit the lake so far, if we can keep that stupid band mainly where it has been so far we may make it out of this with a tolerable amount of snow fall....  Maybe not even that much!! Especially if that wind keeps on rippin'!

Just tryin' to stay optimistic! I think we deserve it after the past 2 week disaster!

Conditions:

I woke up at 5:15 to about a foot of snow here in Hastings but decided to go anyway.  Got to Central Square and no snow, typical lake effect.  Just came off because of the snow day.  Lot of lookers but tight lipped, very windy, shelter was taking a beating.  Had to ask myself do I keep fishing or do I go pick up the kids from sitter and save some money.  Given the bite, I went to get the kids.  I made a ton of stops from Phillips Point to Messenger.  Put 14 miles on the sled.  The slush set up nicely.  Very bumpy ride, most of the snow that did fall blew right off.  It is glare ice with patches of snow scattered around.  I have a 550 2-up and never went through all morning, stayed right on top.  You can feel the top layer then the slush underneath when you drill but with this wind and no snow it should build thicker.

6 inches here, not good when you guys get more than me, hope it lifts north... mid day sun should weaken it, but she'll get rolling again at dark.

Went out of apps this morning first 100 yards has some slushy spots, no big deal, after that it was solid.  Use caution if you go out of Apps, back end my wheeler went in, machine was standing straight up in the air... scared the @#$%^ out of me.  Just to the east of the big ice pile just off shore, its all marked now but with all the water running out of the creek there is bound to be more spots like that.  As for the fishing only fished 2 hours due to the wind, managed 6 nice perch.  Marked allot of fish most just lookers but the ones that hit were aggressive and hammered my jigging rap.

Good report, but for the record that area to the left of the pier has been a mess the past 4 weeks, we been accessing over the pier to the right a bit, all solid there no problems. For those who don't know, when you drive down the hill out of apps bear to the right most likely following the trail, and go OVER the pier, don't go around it!

The advisories remain as they were originally, calling for 4-8" extreme northern onondaga county/madison county  which would basically be along the southern shore of the lake.  Not much to report so far today, has snowed hard at times but no real accumulation probably due to the 25-30mph winds.  She should harden up pretty good plus alittle snow for lube, looks like were back in business once the wind lays down just a bit.
