NOAA has a lot of good products. Walking through all the snow by the end of next week is not going to be fun.

Ok, as for the wheeler report, I will be on ice with my wheeler Friday morning, I will give a travel report at some point that day.

About the full mustang survival suit, I have one. Bought it around 18 years ago, paid about 500 for it, I wore it LOT! Never had any tearing or damage issues with it  whatsoever. I mean, the US coast guard and Naseau use them, I think they would be made quite ruggedly. Only one drawback with them, and it's a HUGE one, they do NOT breath!! You sweat like you've never sweat before in your life !

As for your drunkin polar plunge Shane, that's NUTS!!!

Try Dejulios Army Navy store on Burnet Ave (call first). I seem to remember seeing them there a couple of years ago.

That one you bought 18 yrs ago John was probably much better built, mine says made in china, 240 bucks and made in china, mustang corporate is really raking it in.  I was upset too see that label, I'd expect it on other stuff, but the stuff the coast guard wears.

The mustang suits have a manufacture date on the label inside the suit. I sold one not long ago on ebay that was manufactured 2/12 and it said made in us.

Dejulio's has them. They are around $100 + tax if you buy them there, or you can order them online and get them between $60 and $70. They are all over Ebay. Also, you can check out http://store.colemans.com/cart/us-gi-extreme-cold-temperature-boots-unissued-p-748.html. Cheers!

I have the frabil black suit, it is awesome. I would highly recommend it.  Bought it at the end of the season for $200 on eBay. I think they are close to twice that normally.  I would not change one thing about it.

Actually I stand partially corrected on the part about being built bad on the mustang jacket, it took a few yrs for it too loosen up, it was stiff in the beginning, seemed like it might rip easy, but so far so good. made in china though.

7 jumbo perch, burbot, and a mud puppy. Caught all perch on hook and minnow rig. Mainly hit when it was still, slow lift every once and a while. Fish just aren't aggressive.

Forgot to mention I have a 400 sportsman with AWD no chains and got around fine with 2 guys and a shanty. Good amount of snow but mainly light and fluffy.

I only got out for a few hours caught 2 dink perch, but saw what looked like a plane landing with skis either on the lake or on the North Shore East of Cleveland.  My buddy I was with got skunked completely.  I was in 20FOW between two rock piles that go up to ~15-16 FOW should I be going deeper?

Are you using small or large minows?  I tried small but unfortunately they all died and were frozen so I had to try jigging without any luck.

I think I know why no one is catching fish. All the chemicals that were dumped in the lake from the mobile meth lab. the fish are looking for lays potato chips, not spikes, and minnows ;)2 :callcops: :icefish:        Sully...
