I'm back :o I was down getting a lesson on lake trout , ended up only hooking up 5 and landing 2 , lost a dandy in front of wirestone , right at the hole fishing was slow for our group , but it was a great time , I'll be back on Oneida as soon as I get my stuff reorganized ,nice job on the fish guys I heard it was a little slow , I got updated daily ,
Good times with ya Freddie. We will try to forget about the Raintree. lol

mid february lull is in full swing, for me at least...hit a gps spot first thing and within 15 minutes 2 hog perch charge off bottom and smash both jiggin raps landed 1 lost 1.......thought I was in for a hot bite but never saw another fish for an hour and a half......started moving and hunting and couldn't find much.....did find 1 16" eye though......ended up in 39fow and marked fish but just couldn't get em to go.....forgot the spikes so couldn't try em.....still can't believe how many guys head out on machines without helmets......safety and it's the law folks

Managed a slob 13" and a 10", along with 3 short eyes. To the guy that was at bartell bait at 6 and picked out a jig rap... It got me the 3 shorts, now to put it in front of some matures.....

I would like to try Oneida Lake this next weekend and don't know where to go.  Can anyone give me some ideas?  I haven't fished Oneida in many years.

Had a hard time finding the jumbos today. First hole was full of dinks. Second hole...pin pike. Third hole...dead. Decided to go back to the first hole and decided to weed through the dinks and hopefully end up with a handful of keepers. Between my girlfriend and I, I know we iced at least 150 dink perch. At times, they were 4 foot thick on the graph.
We ended up keeping 29...but some were marginal 8's. My girlfriend did manage a 13 1/2 inch hog and a bonus 16" walleye.
It's February with plenty of snow cover...and the fish are acting accordingly...
I took advantage of the dinkfest and practiced with the plastics.  Impulse nymph on a tungsten head kept 'em busy.
Always remember .... they have a brain the size of a pea! How hard can it be? ???

Be careful with the warm meal...yesterday I had cold pizza on aluminum foil, placed it on top to warm it up. The heat reflexed off the foil and started to melt all the plastic on top of the heater including the knob. Luckily I caught it in time, but not before some minor damage.

Wow that's a nice bit of info to know, who'd a thunk it.

I hate to say it but we could probably use some rain. A nice influx of oxygen might help get the bite going.

At least it cuts down on the crowds.  ;D

Went out yesterday morning. 28 fow and no one within 1/2 mile from me. Fished from 7-10 am and ended up putting 5 keepers on the ice along with 5 slob perch. Also dumped 2 at the hole and broke another slob eye off.  2 of the eyes I hooked came all the way off bottom and didn't hit my jiggin rap until it was only 5 feet under the ice!! Was a pretty productive morning

Hey guys just wanted to know best spot to get on lake on foot going Wednesday first time and didn't want to walk miles any info would be great thanks.

well far as short walk there isn't any Constantia , Lewis point ,maybe chapman park are your best bet , buy a map that will give you some insight , I was just at lake George and pulled my shack and power screw through 16" of snow .43 miles , last day found a short walk of .20 , man I'm glad I'm only 57 and my total weight with power auger was only 105 lbs  ;D
and HT if you do want to change out those bungee cords , they have turn buckles at the tractor supply , but I like a rig with a little character OPPS no pun intended  ::)
