I'm planning on making it back out on the weekend if I can get out onto the ice.  I'll be by myself so if anyone wants to meet up just pm me.

Hey Guys, Have not been on here in since last season.  If anyone is interested my neighbor has a  fully furnished trailer he is renting out for $25 a person. Its on south shore and its about 2 miles from Lewis point.  there is  access  to the lake.
How many does it sleep, and how to contact your neighbor?

Hey guys just want to let you know a little more about the show this weekend.. clam will be there and they are going to be doing a
of lot  of fun educational events. Seminars demos and kids events. Scott Brauer told me he will have several speakers and guests there. We both wish this where a little earlier in the yr. We may have been able to get some good clam deals but the educational  piece is also very important. Come on down and say hi.

Glad to hear the ice is in good shape. Comming up on Sat. Thanks for the report ;D Can't stop smiling even though it's a 2 hour drive and 80.00 dollars in gas.

we finally have some cold temps comming ;D ;D.
I think it's going to be a good bite today with the berometer where it is, and it's steady.
I've been seeing alot of holes also. they will be tightening up in the next couple days.   Sully...

Beautiful out today. It sucks to actually have to work for a living but it beats the alternative... ;D

Got out for a few hours before work. Couple of good eyes and a dozen nice perch.

Here's the moon setting at my first stop.

Where can you still get on the ice with a 4 wheeler?  I know the pressure crack at chapman was opening up pretty good on Saturday I can only imagine how it is now with the warm and rain.  Any info would be great in a PM.  Thanks again

orangcrush17,

I'm a steel city native living in Syracuse now. Not all bad down there, don't have the ice like we do but there are some decent open water fisheries down there. see if you can do something about getting the pirates to the seris next year.

Bunch of guys have gone out of Williams today on 4 wheelers. They might be catching fish today they are all bunched up and have been there most of the day.

Great day on the ice. Never put the shanty up and only moved once. 38 jumbos and two bonus eyes.  Caught fish all day and the big ones were just firing up when we had to leave.  Easily caught over 100 perch.  It was hard to get the big ones through all the dinks, it was a race to the lure all day long.  Ice was great ony problem was getting over the heave on shore.  I did see one large open hole.  Same holes tomorrow, hope they stay put.

X3 that is awesome

there is no lube at all for the sleds, It's like a glass table , so mix up some dish soap and water or something slippery to help out ,

All of you knocking the eyes down. The time, effort, miles and leg work I have put into Oneida over the past couple weeks and have only iced one eye. My first year fishing Oneida sure does have a huge learning curve, I must be doing something seriously wrong! I used to believe I was a top of the line ice head until I met Oneida lake. Ouch.

I hear you, it took me 3 years, and alot of money for gas and bait until i figured it out,, still learning more and more everyday though, but thats what keeps the blood pumpin'! keep at it.. ask around and do your homework...fyi, you'll get more info from people on the ice than you will on this site, but the reports are still fun to read with good info also. gd luck
