CEJ, thanks for all those numbers, put some of them into my phone for reference.  I sure hope ECO Head does't use the nickname Dick.

:roflmao:  :roflmao: I heard the story from my friend about this officer. I didn't believe it, but know I have proof! I kinda feel bad for the guy...

Horrible bite today.  Don't even want to talk about numbers.  Maybe my worst day in 2 years.  The little bit of snow made It so I could use the sled.  Even got the solid shanty out.

Was at chapman  today, this am, crack was passable with a wheeler but walkers had to go to the other side of the pier. On the way in at 3, wheeler had to go where the walkers came out.  Went to 40fow and got a bunch of nice perch and 2keeper walleyes.

Pretty high barometer right now. 30.57, probably didn't help...

fished Chapman with a few buddies today.....had to go down the shoreline to the east a little to get the wheeler on....a nasty crack runs the whole shoreline.....use caution.....high barometer had the fish a little finicky but still picked away and ended up with a couple dozen beauties....tossed back quite a few 9"ers to.....slick conditions, bring cleats.....real nice day out there today

Was out today. Landed 18 eyes. Had a nice blitz of fish for about 20 mins this evening. Good time. No jumbos and only 1 white...
It'll eat.

There enough snow to keep cool.  Studs are a bonus.  Saturday might be all water so that will be OK also.

For the guys asking about walking out of Apps. I did it yesterday. Pressure crack is at around 25' and moves closer to shore as you go East toward Godfrey. I spudded across it in 4 spots. All were solid with the ice shoved up and refrozen.

I'd still be careful, as always, but it was definitely passable.

I fished both sides of the pressure crack out of apps today it was solid and fine to cross on foot
Like jboggey said there was no bite to speak of I fished from 24'. Out to 42' only marked a few fish and they were buried in the mud  :-\
why is it everytime i start catchin fish a GREMLIN pop's up in my hole

Hit the ice Today, and as expected with a big barometer it was a slow pick all day, with a pretty good dead spell around noonish, ended up icing 15 eyes, 12 that were keeper size and 9 nice perch for the frying pan, all fish were caught jigging raps in 25-27 fow, ice measured anywhere from 10 to 11.5 inches, with a light coating of snow, easy dragging ....I did a lot of walkin... haven't read any reports yet on here ....fighting my furnace...  wow what a blizzard all the way down this morning ....6 inches on the roads... unplowed,.....

couple pics with my junk camera...

Taft is large enough for a trailer yes. Haven't been out that access point yet this year to report in ice conditions.
Take it for what it's worth
