Hows the wind out there? I got nothing here in Southern Madison.....

30mph sustained, gusts above 50mph here, just went out to shovel and check pipes, had a hard time walking against it, got woke up at 2am last night by house shaking thunder.....  lightning was really blue, good stuff.

can you say 12-15 inches of black ice by Friday.    ;D

You guys hear about the dirt bags that were poaching this past wknd?   One younger idiot  took 48 eyes off the ice on Saturday, he was fishing the north bay area, a couple witnesses said he was not caught in the act....  Then another scum bag was nailed by the DEC in Const. with twenty some eyes in his possession. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?!?  What REALLY urks me is these people who do this are those who fish almost every day!!  Do they REALLY need these fish that bad? I don't think so!  >:(

It is a shame but sadly I am not surprised. All you can do is turn people in if you see it going on.

BTW - nice job 600rev!

No they definitely don't NEED the fish. Unbelievable what people can justify in their own little pea brains.
Glad I'm not one of em.

There is still a black market for selling walleye fillets to certain restaurants. They are ALL supposed to be from Canada, but I know that is not always true, but they are probably
just game hogs. I know of guys that bragged about shooting 20+ turkeys in the winter, just because they could. No way anyone could eat that much turkey.

Wind seems to have laid down a bit from this morning but still gusting pretty good here near the south shore. Tends to be a little stronger near the edges of the snow bands.

Thanks Karl  ;D

Couldn't take it any longer yesterday so I walked out of Constantia at 3PM... Didn't venture out far with the snow approaching and with the wind blowing as hard as it was I did not bring my shanty.  Managed to ice an 18" eye in 15' along with 5 perch, all short, and not get frost bite!!!

Lake level seems to be falling, 6 feet out from the shore, the ice dropped 5-6 inches. Our ramp is sitting in 6 inches of water....One guy 1/2 way between Williams and the island. # diehard

I watched about 25 of those clips back, I'm really off, I need glasses bad, guess I'll get some...  first time ever trying too film the flasher always wanted too, it was fun, if it was a hit and run school, it would of cost me a lot of fish, that's why I got my 3 first before trying, had too make sure it was the motherload, god theres a lot of fish cooperating this season, bet February is tough though.

Hey guys,  question. Do you guys use a snap swivel to attach your jig or tie the line right to the jig itself while fishing for walleyes?? I want to use the line to the jig but worry about those teeth cutting the line as there shaking there heads on the way up. How you tie them?? Thanks
