well i messed up and slept in due to believing the weather people ::) i hit the north shore and was fishing by 9:30 am. first drop perch were flying off the bottom for my lure ??? i landed 8 jumbos and dumped another one and a walleye at the hole that looked to be all of 21" >:(. as soon as the snow started it was over for me. ice was 6" where i was and i saw 4 snowmobiles heading out towards the channel when i left ??? ??? ???

as soon as i got off the ice the big winds came up ;)i am starting to really like this new lowrance ;D

Hey guys has anyone stayed or heard of the dwarf line cottages at sylvan beach. We are trying to find a place for the weekend that is somewhat middle of the road to go north or south shores. Any help would be great I was late getting hold of Rick and Peg so I missed the boat there.

Easy Traveling today...so I took a walk to get away from the crowd on the south side. Ventured out 3/4 mile to a 32 ft shoal...thanks to my navionics. East wind from 7- 9 am...marked a couple fish. The wind stopped and whammo. I caught (2) small eyes and the jumbo's would not leave my brown and gold jigging rap alone between 9- noon. The west wind picked up and it was over. end up with 10 nice perch and dumped 6 at the hole. Time to sharpen the hooks

When I go fishing I like to know that there's nobody within five miles of me.

Man rescued from Oneida Lake

Constantia (WSYR-TV) – Emergency crews responded to reports of a person stranded on Oneida Lake on Tuesday afternoon.

According to emergency dispatchers, the West Monroe Fire Department deployed its air boat to the scene.

They say the man became disoriented on the ice, but never fell through.

He was located and brought to shore.

The guy got caught in a white out and didn't know how to get back to shore according to channel 3 news...

Really shouldn't head out on the lake without a compass.  Doesn't take much to have white out conditions.

Yes HTI think we did well considering the weather. I almost went to the North Side. Maybe tomorrow. Did the perch bite later in the morning like mine did?
