I fished near South Bay again today. A solid 5+ inches of ice. Ended up with 30 big gills and sunnys the last couple hours before dark and a few slime darts. The lake was making some ice today. It was popping and movin a little.

So here is the scoop on the NYS licensing system blackout. Spoke with the DEC out of Watertown at first she just said I'm sorry no fish for you but she then wanted to quick double check with her superior in the office, she come back on the phone and says I have good news! You have 21 days to get your license in the mean time carry your 2013 license and abide by all laws and regulations and you are all set to fish. Blackout is estimated for 14 more days also.

Nice job Deadeyez!

I made a quick trip this evening on some fresh ice. I fished for 2 hours and ended up with 12 eyes (4 keepers, 4 shorts, 4 pins). It was nice and cold out there the lake was singing good. No snow on the ice. Should tack on some more ice tonight before we get any snow!

Looking to get after some Walters this week, haven't fished Oneida on the ice and haven't been there on the water in a few years. We used to kill them in the canal near fish creek. Anyone got a direction where I can start now.

5" at chapman park.....pressure crack formed off the end of the pier and runs nnw so keep your eye peeled......fishing was slow but consistent....enough perch for a fry or 2....ice is slick

FM sorry for your loss, Shane hope you feel better, Reeleyez and Deadeyez looks like it was agood time out on the hardwter. Deadeyez pics are at shanes from last season on the river. Wishing you all agreat 2014.
