copper ones were not as good as the nickle plated ones.

it's hard to see in a picture but the very top thats bent is bent at a angle this gives that jig some sort of action that the fish down right love.  they never would go straight down the hole, more like a 10 degrees off to the side then once all the way down would slowly sweep to straight under the hole.

I can measure it with calipers but they are in storage.  but using a measuring tape they are nearly 1/16" thick, 1-1/4" from the top of the jig to the hook, widest part where you tie your line is 1/2" wide, jig body is 3/4" long plus the , 1/2" lenght of the hook.

I'm pretty sure the originals were nickel plated brass - they had good hooks, so if you caught a 100 a day and retied every once in a while a jig would last a long time.  The originals were also heavier than anything I've seen around, which gets you back to where the fish are sooner, and gets your gloves back on quicker - two pluses in my book.

The Bohemian rockers I bought were only about 66 cents apiece, but the hooks are junk, the bend isn't the same, and they are much lighter.  I'm still working on getting someone to manufacture some out here, but things are progressing slowly.  I would love to get my hands on some originals or close replica's, as I sometimes fish in water as deep as 62-64'.

I have been looking around at the Bohemian Rocker Jigs and can't see anywhere in the description that tells you the hook size.  Did I miss it?  Maybe there is only one size ???  Anyone know if they come in different size hooks?

RG, when you mentioned the Conesus jig, it rang a bell from 1975; one of the first jigs I used so I went back into the jig collection and found 5 of those Kodak
variety types. Havn't used them in years since I usually do not fish in water deeper then 30 ft. any more. (No need) . Maybe I can sell them at the Bayside on Sunday!(I'd have to be drunk to do that!) ;D ;D

I bought a card of 12 of the ht variety 2 or 3 years ago for about 3 bucks as a special price.  The hooks on
them are very very weak, and you must be very gentle with trying to land a bigger fish with them, or they will
straighten out.
