A little bird told me that the following lakes have good ice over 4 in. Prompted, promised land upper, duck harbor, shohola.
You can also try Fraces Walter Dam but be careful when you get near the lehigh river; moving water. The shore at upper words is tricky but should improve. Guys, lets get some specific reports. This bird won't be around forever.

check here
http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateparks/winter-report/index.htm

You can't go by that site, they don't want you on the ice,I think you can double those figures and that will be close.

The lakes are on a seperate page, every state has one, it's the name of the state followed by Fishing Reports and Conditions.   Here's a link to the one for Pa:

I go to a secret site in NEPA. My info is reliable. It comes from fishermen.
On another note, I was at Prompton yesterday. There was 6in of good ice near the dam. The only problem is you have to walk about 600 yds or go down "Heart Attack Hill" the parking lot near the dam about 50 yds on a 45 degree angle. It took me about 1 hr. to walk up it. I stopped every 10 steps to catch my breath. I got to the top and their was a short man standing next to my truck. I asked, "Saint Peter, did I die and go to heaven." He said, "my battery is dead, can you give me a jump." I did and he showed me a 30 in catfish he caught on a minnow. Wow, what an ending to a bad day!

Thinking bout trying bradys lake or wolf swamp never been to either. But willing to do the hike if I know I'll def find it. Went to that res.in plains twp. And I got a warning note from water company but I should've been fine bc I was small game hunting not fishing and pa game bought the land around it. I do wanna fish that place though... JMZ u ever try it out seeing u are from plains I'm a mile from casino.
What are you going to do,just stand there and worry about it? IF that's the card you're dealt that's the card you play.Just pick up the slack and keep on going.

I guess you're talking about the resevors on Jumper Hill Road. Be careful, they are patrolled by the State Police.
