Haven't seen one of those in ages. One of my uncles used to use them way back when.

Kind of going back to old school fishing. Been ice fishing since I was 6. Got rods and reels but some days I go to the jig sticks.

I still have a couple of the old jig sticks with the pick on the end. They work better than anything for cleaning up the bottom of a hole if you have a jagged spot.

I can’t imagine that thing would have any sensitivity at all.  You’d have to set the hook by the flasher.

I had one back in the 60s, when I was in Boy Scouts. Can't remember what ever happened to it.

So much better equipment available at a reasonable price, but fish with whatever you like.

True. But you can't put a pricetag or value on nostalgia.  ;)

I’ve got 2 like that my dad made.  I’ll use whenever I get nostalgic.  Not very often though.

Never needed to feel much you we used ours hole hopping and looking for aggressive fish. Pimple with couple perch eyes and moving all the time dropping fish on ice next to holes so you saw where the good holes were. No electronics or finesse required

I'm an old guy.
I have been using mine for over 50 years. I LOVE IT.
A bait shop was going out of business, and I got it for $1.99.
I took it to a place I once worked at.
They traced it, and made over 100.
Just about everybody in the company got one.
Even if they did fish, at all.

Scored one last summer in a bucket of tip ups at a yard sale
16 tip ups, two ice strainers, a dozen cusk traps and the jig stick even had a swedish pimple in the storage handle.... All for $5
My cousin Suzi scored them and wouldn't even let me give her the $5
She's the best!
