Ok' now I'm REALLY dumbfounded. When I posted the last reply on the thread I "copy-pasted" the link that I was trying to attach to my profile avatar. Instead of the link, the photo showed up in the post. this is to wierd for me simple mind to comprehend. If I "copy-paste" a link in a post, shouldn't it work in a profile avatar? Please advise....
                     Thank you

Did that, but thanks anyway. I still get the red box with an "X" in it and the words "Do Nothing"

Everytime I post a picture it's size is small.  Any idea how I can make the pictures bigger?  I'm using myfishingpictures.com. I'm not to good with all this computer stuff.  Thanks in advance.  Dustin

I'm having the same problem.  All my pictures end up in Photobucket avatar-sized (100 x 75 pixels).  I haven't been able to get them to resize.  The resize button on Photobucke is disabled (not highligted).

Any one have any ideas?  I'm stumped as well.

In photobucket, here is what I do. Open photo bucket, and go to the folder with your pics in it. You will have 1 - ? small pics showing with "Email & IM", "Direct Link", "HTML Code", and "IMG Code" below them. Go to the box next to "IMG Code" (should look some thing like this in the box http://i272.photobucket.com/albums). Left click on this once, you will see a little "Copied" in a yellow box pop up and go away. Then go to your post here on Ice Shanty, and right click and paste. All done

For myfishingpictures.com. Open the pic you want. Below the pic, there will be a big white box, inside that box will be "Linked Thumbnail:" with a box next to it. On the right side of this box is a little icon. If you hold your cursor on the icon it will say "more". Click that icon, and it will open a new page. Left mouse button to highlight, Right mouse button to copy the "big" or "medium" box. Then go to your post here on Ice Shanty, and paste. The big may be to big to post on here, so maybe try medium if big don't work. All done.

Whatpole,

I tested out what you recommended above and am still getting the avatar sized pictures.  See above test post.

Any other ideas?

I would like to thank Whatpole for his help on getting my technical issue in posting photos on Iceshanty taken care of.  He went way beyond the call of duty and refused to admit defeat even though I wanted to several times over the course of many hours of PMs and emails.  After all this, he correctly diagnosed and troubleshot the situation and solved the problem, which was mainly due to my inexperience and incompetence.

Thanks a lot Whatpole for your excellent assistance.  You and others like you are what make Iceshanty a great forum and community of friends.

Nothing that a few beers couldn't fix. :D

The problem he/we (it took me a while to figure this out) were having is, in photobucket, where you "browse" to download your pics, there is an "options" between the top "browse" and the "blue bar" (images from my pc, video, web url, and mobile phone). His was set to download the avatar size by default. I had him change it to the 17" screen size for the default. And now it appears all is good.

Glad I could be of help. :icefish:

It could mean that the entries board was down so it could be updated. Try again.
If the Entries Board is Closed it means I'm checking entries and updating the Leaders Board. It shouldn't be down for more than 2-3 hours.
