The old forum layout

Is there anyway to go back to the old format on my phone here lol? The new layout is garbage in my opinion. Very annoying. The old one was so simple. I reckon im bout done with ol iceshanty lol

Rather than wade through the whole topic, just do this!!!   Go to your profile, click on Modify Profile, then click on Current Theme, and on Forum or Board Default, click change. You will see Iceshanty 3.0, click on use this theme! There are only 19 people using it out of all the members on here!!!

You will see Iceshanty 3.0, click on use this theme! There are only 19 people using it out of all the members on here!!!

That is not due to preference, trust me...

Back to the old format for me, thank god. Been using it for almost 10 years im glad to have it back.

I'm old, and old people don't like change! I switched back to 3.0 and the came back to  the new format. I've gotten used to it and like it now. I don't have a smartphone yet, just my laptop. But if us old farts can get used to it, anyone can!!! I'm far from being very computer savvy, but it works for me.  Good luck and tight lines whichever way you go!!

I'm sorry if this has already been covered but my question is. Will the search feature go back to just the way it was when changing back to the old style? I don't mind the new home screen but the search results are terrible. If there are a couple words spread out in a post with no connection to your key words it brings it up as 1st recommended. I find it more useful to google my question and then click the iceshanty link that google shows me that is much more relevant to my question. It's a shame because there is a treasure trove of information out there but it is being buried by fluff.

Sometimes those stats might help when trying to determine the value of information posted..

Although it certainly doesn't mean a new guy can't have good information either..

I still feel new compared with many on here...

I'm back to iceshanty 3.0 thanks.i like this version better and like how I get the little blue envelope for private messages.lol.alot more noticeable for me to check on them than just a little number by my messages.just like when I 1st joined this site.

I agree. I believe I was the first one to mention the old style in the original tread lol. It almost made me not want to log-in but I stuck it out because iceshanty is awesome! I’m glad they made it possible to go back and I’m going there now.

Don’t feel bad about not liking the new layout. I’m 30 and instantly got frustrated lol.

Man i must say the icons to navigate to login, forums, etc are terrible.... The plain old "forum" "Logon" were much more effective...

Glad I saw this thread. The new layout was terrible and terribly confusing for me.  Glad it’s back to how I remember.  I may not post a lot but I sure do lurk a lot and it’s much easier to do that again!!!!

I just switched to the old format. It's still not the same. There is no picture of the lake scene with the sponsor overlays. It's not the same. I may just switch back to the new format. You can still see the side info that ice scratcher mentioned by turning your phone sideways.
