Nelson Creek Bay is the nearest Part of Fort Peck to me. I usually Ice fish the Tongue River Reservoir, but I wanna find some new scenery this weekend. Anybody know how the bite is around those parts??

You could call lakeridge- Eddie mindt about ice conditions. He had a post on Facebook that the main lake finally received its first skim of ice last Sunday. I have heard of guys fishing the dredge cuts below ft peck as well which isn’t too far from Nelson.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm planning on drifting around these areas this fine, and chilly, 3 day weekend.
Just looking to get on a bite. This is my 3rd Ice season, and I wanna check a big pike, and a decent eye off my winter checklist for once.

last week end I saw 2 boats trolling off the face of the Dam on Fort Peck

Eddie posted a facebook message that around flat lake on the east side of the damn had 4-6" of hard clear ice. I have heard there is good ice in Nelson up to McGuire. Not sure how the fishing has been though.
