Tired of all the really sketchy conditions around here and need some good ice. What would you recommend near the Iowa border. Not picky about species but I really need to get out and on some fish this weekend. Buy home base for me is near Cedar Rapids Iowa

Wish I could help on the Iowa border, Phil. If you feel like making a drive, we've got 12-16 on just about every lake in OT county!

I would think if you are walking out you have lots of options; even in southern MN. We have close to a foot of good ice here in the metro area and i know they are driving out on Mille Lacs which is only 90 minutes north of here.

Gotta be careful out there. We have been losing snowmobiles near the border over here in Northern Wisconsin. With the rain today it is probably best to walk and use a spud.
