guppies and fancy's

can these possibly be invasive in are waters????? seems like anything could be a prediter fish for them. just dont see how they could take over in these cold waters. what do you guys think about this??????

Guppies and killi fish are cold water fish and will survive. Gold fish are the same. There's some pics here of someone who jigged up a big goldfish a winter or so ago.

o.k. but how big could a guppie get? seems only baitfish size at best.

I think that it is more of an issue that they can be bad for fish to eat maybe, because i have heard that you can not use them for feeder fish for fish in an aquarium because they can kill them. Not sure just what i have heard?

I've used them as feeders, no truth to that. Hell, I ate a bunch at a party once on a bet. I'm still here.


Biggest guppy I've seen was about 2". I don't think it's the size that's an issue. They multiply like crazy though. 10 can become hundreds in no time and so on.

feed them to my pikeral and eye for the last two years. mainly fansy's but guppies two. seem to be ok to me. dont seem them to be harmfull...
