Post by: elkhunter1834 on Nov 25, 2015, 05:49 PM
Where are some good locations to fish in the winter, fishing was good there this year and I would like to try it thru the ice. Any ideas? Pm me if needed

Heres the thing about Blackfoot. If you go ice fishing there you need to know about the springs and they are everywhere, every year I find a new one that I didn't know existed. You cant just go out on the reservoir on a snow machine and just go ice fishing. There has been several times that I have been out there and seen open water bubbling while I was on 8" of good ice, all I am saying is be carefull. I have a few close calls on that reservoir. The access is tough if the roads are snowed in. It can be decent fishing but its always on the slower side but, be patient and you might get a good one. Remember that all cuts have to go back in.....

Good Luck
