So I just dropped my prescription sunglasses while freaking out trying to bring this tommy cod in. Last week it was a 10 dollar spoon. What did you guys lose down the hole?

CELL PHONE AND "A 30 FOOT LOG CHAIN"
. Just what kind of fish are you going after?? :o ;D
-
Big ones. Was using the log chain to hold the apron down on my flip over. When folding shack and collapsing poles kicked log chain and heard it go down the hole. Shucks :P
-
That stinks, did you make the spot and any way you could " fish" for it when the ice is gone?
-
st Croix Premier rod and reel combo.. wonder if the fish is still attached?

Got the chain back. Only 8 feet of water. Drilled a series of holes in a straight line. Big treble hook on tip up line. Snagged it and brought it top side. Now I use the Clam Skirt Snakes found online in the Cabelas bargin cave for $7.00

My IPHONE earbud charging case with 1 ear bud in it . Took the other ear bud out of my ear and threw it in my other hole so they would be laid to rest together lol

A railroad bar that my grandfather used as a maintenance of way worker for the D&H railway. It was more a loss of memories than money value. We were young, had no auger and using a poulan chain saw to cut the ice.Spud bar use of the bar was a bit reckless I can still see it slip through the gloved hands to the lakes bottom.A couple of real rookies making a mess on the ice.18 degrees, spray from the saw was entertaining us at best.Recently gave away the chain saw.But i'm smiling as I recall the day.Wonder if we scared any fish?
