Walleye question
« on: Mar 23, 2011, 08:27 AM »
Gents,

Still a couple of days of good ice left here in Qc.

Have a quick question about fishing for eyes this late in the season.

Im planning on doing a night outing, and just wanted to know, how much water should I be fishing in? Shallow weeds, or sandy points?

Any help would be great!!!

I know that you posted this in late March, but if I were you I would be fishing around any spawning areas, like near rivers and channels. Most fish this time of year, are on the edge of deep water that is close to their spawning grounds. Fish shallow at night in bottleneck areas near rivers. Just be sure to check the ice before the sun goes down.  :)
