Took the kid to tripod res 2 miles from cougar mountain lodge. 4' of ice/frozen snow, I almost bottomed out my auger. Hardest part was finding a spot with water fishable under the ice. Lots of little brook trout. Should be good fishing along time for people with sleds and kids. 4wheeler with chains could make it in.
