here in Alexandria, MN area I am thinkin in about 2 weeks I will be on the ice.........I cant wait all next week the low temps are only in the teens and highs in the low 30's..............BRING ON THE ICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This weather is dumb... >:(

I always bet on December 1st for first safe ice. Some years it comes a little sooner, some years a little later. This year seems to be warm, but things can change FAST. :icefish:

the way things are going around here it should be about 2 weeks as long as the wind stays down and we dont get anymore rain the ice should be good shortly this morning all the small ponds are frozen started the jiffy just to make sure she is ready and she fired right up 3rd pull runs like a dream...........lets go fishin ;D ;D ;D ;D :tipup:

There were a bunch of puddles covered with ice this morning.

I'll be deer hunting next weekend, then getting the ice gear ready to go.

First week of December seems pretty reasonable.

hmm where to start ??

yesterday there was 2"-4" of frost in the ground so i am going to guess you all should have walkable ice by Dec 1st..

i took a old 6 volt motor off a tractor and put a pully and chain mechanism and used a old grain auger and some old jiffy blades cost me $25 to make it. ill post some pics later when i get home

Otter Lake in White Bear Township had skim ice out 200 feet or more!! :thumbsup:

I use photobucket it is the easiest way to post pics on here.........just use the search tab there is a topic on posting pictures already I know because I asked last year...............but here is some ice for you
