Tip-Up Spool Capacity Question
« on: Jan 16, 2022, 06:48 PM »
Since I am back now, I had just a question that would be nice to get some clarification on regarding tip-up spools. I have a couple of each, 200 foot and 500 foot capacities. With that said, what does that stand for. I am assuming it does mean either 200 or 500 foot of line, but if so, what pound test are they referring to when they mention length? I had no luck finding anything out about this and just thought I would ask if anyone knew. Step two is to ask the manufacturer. Thanks again.

Honestly it is probably going to very from different manufacturers if you are going to use the same line your best bet is to buy a big bulk spool of that line and spool them up full and if you have a big backyard or space pull all the line out and measure it and reel back in this will also give you a chance to see if there are any tangles about to happen or going to form
