Title: Ice conditions for Ottertail County?
Post by: FishnBear on Dec 16, 2004, 09:10 PM
I would like to do some ice fishing on my Christmas break. How is the ice in Ottertail County. Any lakes doing good for crappies or walleyes? THANKS

You are in good shape.  The small lakes have been frozen over for a week and a half now, and may be ready for ATV/snowmobile travel this weekend (I will find out first hand).  The larger lakes...Otter Tail, for example...just froze over earlier this week.  Give it another week before ATV/snowmobile, but you could easily walk out a ways.  I've seen people out there on the first break from the Pelican Bay access (on foot).
