Its getting pretty bad down here. I have a week off over xmas and am preparing for a long haul if I have to to find some fishable ice. There may be no distance I won't travel by then. How far are you guys willing to go right now?

To fishable ice - anybody hear of any fishable ice anywhere in northern SD or even in ND? - gotta be someplace up nort that isnt 50 degrees everyday
-
There is actually safe ice in parts of SD. Some of the sloughs in Day, and Clark are supposed to be safe.

I LIVE IN OAKLAND COUNTY MICHIGAN,
LOWER PENINSULA, I'M TRAVELING TO LAKE GEGOBIC
FAR WEST IN THE UPPER PENINSULA TO GO ICE FISHING
IT'S A 10 HOUR DRIVE,WITH GOOD WEATHER.
IT'S CRAZY, BUT I CAN'T WAIT NO LONGER.
IT WAS 40 DEGREES YESTERDAY IN O.C.
THAT'S WRONG.

People are already on the ice fishing here in ND. I am in central ND and the lakes around here have about 5" of ice on them. It was 50 degrees here today though...

There's fishable ice on select portions of Devils Lake. My brother was out Saturday, but did poorly on South Black Tiger.
