Fat Bows
« on: Jan 13, 2018, 12:12 PM »
Went to check out a public lake that we've been wanting to ice. Didn't catch too many but the ones we got were eating well.

The holes were freezing over in the shed with the heater on. Character building weather.

Nothing wrong with those chunksters. Not sure about the character building but more power to you.
We're born, we live for a while, and then we die.  Sounds like a good reason to go ice fishing.

Those fish definitely look very healthy. How come when we get fat nobody calls us healthy?
Any day on the ice with little to no wind, is a darn good day.

It was a lake up north. A long drive to get blown off the lake after 1/2 day of fishing. :'(

From what I've heard, the ice at deweese has been a little sketchy this year. There was a post on fish exploder showing a guy holding a good sized tiger there.

Must have a good coldwater forage base. Something our trout lakes are lacking and apparently our DNR refuses to do anything about it. O.K. I'm done.
I live in the midwest now but have fond memories of fishing in New England as a kid.
