VS380 shrinking screen issue
« on: Jan 28, 2012, 11:26 AM »
I just bought a brand new VS380. I took it out yesterday, temp. was about -7c, there was a bit of a wind so I popped up my shelter had my heater on and was sitting with a light jacket quite comfortably. As the day went on my screen got smaller and smaller. When I was leaving the screen was about 4 inches bordered by black.

Not sure if my battery was low or if the internals were to cold.

When I got home same thing, I left it for a couple of hours and tried a second time. The screen appeared to be back to normal.

Any ideas?  I also posted this on the MarCum sponsor link. Thanks for your replies.

I have a VS380 and the problem is low battery for sure. I've had that happen to me.

Thanks. They really don't give much of a manual with these.
