Name the one jigging spoon you would never leave home without. i have found a machinist that will make molds for me at a decent price and i want to start making many different jigging spoons
-
Hali. All the varieties work. But the Sukkula wounld be easiest to duplicate.
-
my favorite was a ronnie bird. i lost my last one. they aren't made anymore. was shapped like the do jigger without the bend and had small winges on both sides that moved. i wish i had 1 i'd send you a picture. :(
-
Swedish pimple all the way. Silver or copper depending upon water color & clarity.
-
I second the Swedish Pimple, that lure has yielded me more jumbo perch, walleyes, & bass than any other spoon Ive used! Nils Master Hali is good too, but the Swedish pimple has crushed for me this year!
-
I love Northland forage minnows and Swedish pimples. I did however try those new Custom Jigs and Spins spoons this season(slender spoons) and did very well on brown trout with them.

Oh I forgot about the forage minnow. Its smallest size works great for me.
-
the pimple either with a 4-6 inch dropper or with the treble
works great for me and the old man

The jigger whopper and hawger spoon have worked out pretty good for me.
-
Couldn't leave with out a good selection of cleos, and a couple of favorite varmints.
-
smallest pimple made in silver with treble hooks ..tiped ewith minnow works great!!
-
I am with "firstice" I never leave home with out my 1/4 oz jiga wopper Hogger spoons. Took home 50 nice perch on sat with a hogger. Love that spoon: Dogfish
-
Acme kastmasters -- blue and silver and firetiger -- have caught alot of walleye and jumbo perch on these -- tipped with minnow
-
jig-a-whopper

Back in the 80s I bought a Rapala "Jigging Pilkki". It's a dull gold metal head-down minnow imitation, with a single hook on the nose. They might be out of production; haven't seen them for sale in years, but the one I still have is very good on perch. I switch to it when the Swedish Pimple isn't working.

Hands down the greatest slaughterer of fish is the williams wabler half and half with the side hooks I might add.
-
Anything with a rattle.
-
I love the replies, getting ideas of what spoons i might be able to make. Right now i make the Jig a Whopper, Willow spoons and a flat slender spoon like the Varmit
-
the first mold i am going to have made is a copy of the Rapala Pillkie....if everything goes right you guys gave me some great ideas for more Thanks :)
-
Sweedish pimple.. I'll start there any time...
-
Northland tackle's Buckshot rattle spoon in metallic perch, and my slender spoons....
-
Strata spoon and Swedish Pimples. I really enjoy the results of the Stratas.
-
Size 7 White Pearl Swedish Pimple.
-
Saturday, I had a swedish pimple with dead shiners.. caught about 4 perch and a nice salmon. had a big strike and was reeling it in, when my line broke and I lost my lure. tried 4-5 other lures(spoons and such), never got another strike...
-
If I could only have one, it would have to be the Swedish Pimple. Silver with green prism tape. I have caught just about every type of fish using one. That being said, I could NEVER go with just one. It's harder to do than eating just one Lay's potato chip.
-
Swedish pimple with a perch eye..................m mm good!
-
Swedish pimple w/ rainbow colored POWER BAIT Rainbows love 'em!!! ;D
-
Another vote for the mighty pimple. We use em for perch - they usually outfish everything. the bronze or silver on sunny days, the brighter colors for cloudy days, always tipped with a wiggler or two. Catch lots of bonus walleye with em too.
a little tip - hook one of the wigglers in the tail barely so its still alive and kickin - if it is swimming the fish seem to love it.
-
Kastmaster and an eye for the best early morning and late evening perch and walleye bait i have ever used! Gold 1/4 oz.
-
All time favorite #3 Swedish Pimple in glow, red or chartreuse. This year I fished Nils Master Hali spoon with good Results.I will never go ice fishing with out these in my tackle box!!!!!
-
Swedish Pimples are the lures I use most..... last sesason on LOW I tried Angle Eye Jr's in the blue glow color.....WOW fantastic day!!
I've been using red trebles on my spoons for the last couple of seasons with good success.
-
Gotta go with the Buckshot in perch from Northland for walleye, the demon in glow/chartreuse for perch and the Swedish pimple for trout.
-
sweedish pimples all the way. :'(
-
jig-um-up, made in PA
-
Hali for smelt, and sweedish pimple for everything else, Rapella thown in the mix also.
-
Swedish pimple, followed by Kastmaster and Little Cleos. Have caught a lot of nice fish on a Pimple and small minnow combo deadsticked while checking tip-ups, socializing, etc.
-
Do you guys use the same spoon for trout and panfish? It looks like I need to pick up some pimples and castmasters. For trout I will tip em' with small minner, minner head, corn, or PB.
-
no doubt, swedish pimple, productive and easy to come by, with nice weight.
-
By far, the swidish pimple. Silver with green flasher.
-
Swedish pimple and Hali are equal in my mind, for different uses, of course

PB = Powerbait

Swedish pimple in glow or chartreuse as been a go to lure for many years. Last year red glow 8) by angel eyes and Caty jigs were hot for jumbo perch. I will be trying more rattle lures this year!
-
i love pimple. they are truly the best spoon made.
-
Swedish Pimples have been my go to for all species...in the past. Then they came out with the Hali, great for smelt and perch. Now they have this Forage Minnow in metallic-perch, good for `eyes. My tackle box is getting heavy. :o But to have only one choice, pimples gets my nod.

swedish pimple hali every time

The buck-shot rattle spoon is my favorite followed closely by the sweedish pimple.

Hay, I got one of those! Do they really work? I thought it was just some crazy lure my father bought.
-
The pearl pimple. And the glow in the dark for deep pimplin.I "JACKHAMMER" that thing as fast as I can then stop it dead.Absolutely amazing results. When i fish with new people they laugh at my technique ;DThen they :-X
-
Silver with red label Swedish pimple
-
The custom jigs and spins stinger is an awesome little spoon. They are really small and thin, with a great fluttering action. Tipped with crawler, mealie, maggot, waxy, fish head or fish eye, they work awesome for trout, crappie, walleye, perch, and bluegill. Great finesse spoon.

Morrocco Mole!

Blue and Silver Kastmaster, jigged just over school of smelt usually gets a salmon on West Grand in Maine. Fun reading some of these posts and answers.
Hoppes
